Short-Term Research Program Overview

The GSTP short-term traineeships are open to Ph.D. students who wish to work with GSTP trainers as mentors.

“To be eligible for short-term predoctoral research training positions, students must be enrolled and in good standing and must have completed at least one quarter in a program leading to a clinical doctorate or a masters or doctorate in a quantitative science such as physics, mathematics, or engineering prior to participating in the program.”

The traineeships are awarded for a two to three month period for research at UW-Madison.

Stipend support is available.

The short-term GSTP trainees must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status.

  1. Contact Dr. Louise Pape via email (lpape@wisc.edu) to obtain deadline date prior to submitting application.
  2. Complete Short-term application form which can be found with the forms.
